Produce Manager

Open Harvest is a community owned grocery store, dedicated to fostering a sustainable food system through consumer education and the cooperative principles. Open Harvest has been a Lincoln staple since 1975.
We are in search of a creative, responsible, hard-working, and dynamic individual to lead our Produce department.
The Produce Manager is accountable for all aspects of department operations including profitability, inventory control, buying, and merchandising. You'll hire, train, and evaluate staff, as well as work directly with local farmers and national distributors.
Our ideal candidate will have produce experience, excellent customer service skills, knowledge of organic produce and natural foods, the ability to work independently, great communication skills, demonstrated leadership qualities, and the ability to multi-task.
This is a full time (40 hours per week) position with a salary that depends on the skills and experience you bring to the table. We offer health benefits, paid vacation and a 15% staff discount at the store.
