Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society

Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society (NSAS) recognizes the vitalrelationship between healthy local agriculture, and a sustainable localfood system. The relationship requires that much of the food consumed isgrown and processed locally. This adds quality of life; security;social, economic, and ecological balance; and responsibility to thecommunity. It is the understanding of this relationship that motivatesthe Society's work to strengthen and enhance these systems, whileengaging all.

NSAS is a non-profit, grassroots, member-based organization, founded in1976 by a small group of farmers committed to the ideals that are stillembraced by the organization and its members. We collaborate with otherorganizations to support healthy rural and urban communities, forfarmers and non-farmers.
