Center for Food Safety

The Center for Food Safety provides consumer education materials to OpenHarvest. They are located at the information and literature stand nearthe front of the store.

The Center for Food Safety works to protect human health and theenvironment by curbing the proliferation of harmful food productiontechnologies and by promoting organic and other forms of sustainableagriculture.

The Center for Food Safety combines multiple tools and strategies inpursuing its goals, including litigation and legal petitions forrulemaking, legal support for various sustainable agriculture and foodsafety constituencies, as well as public education, grassrootsorganizing and media outreach.

The Center for Food Safety is a non-profit public interest andenvironmental advocacy membership organization established in 1997 byits sister organization, International Center for Technology Assessment.
