Support our Cooperative Community on #GiveToLincolnDay
Hosted by the Lincoln Community Foundation, Give to Lincoln Day is a day of giving back. It is a day where we see amazing displays of generosity that help local nonprofits provide needed services and improve our great city. Donations given on this day are matched by a “Challenge Match Fund” of $500,000, made possible by Lincoln Community Foundation and generous sponsors.
Since the first Give to Lincoln Day in 2012, thousands of donors have come together to raise more than $40 million to support Lancaster County nonprofits. Last year alone, our community raised nearly $8 million, breaking the previous year’s record!
Here’s how you can support our cooperative community on Give to Lincoln Day:
Donate to SEED Program Recipients
Launched in 2020, our SEED program (“Round up at the Register”) has raised over $45,000 for local organizations. Each year, recipients are selected by member-owner voting during our Board Election, in addition to a staff-led HarvAid committee.
These organizations are close to our heart, and we’d love for you to consider supporting them directly on Give To Lincoln Day. Simply click on the links below!

Make a Tax-Deductible Donation To Open Harvest
We are excited to share that we have partnered with the Lincoln Community Foundation to accept tax-deductible donations for the use of our relocation project!
For 47+ years, we have been at the forefront of Lincoln’s collaborative economy. As a cooperatively-owned business, we help to empower our local producers and allow more dollars to recirculate within our local economy.
Our mission is simple: To help create a vibrant community. One that has access to healthy, organic, and local food. One that supports economic justice and strengthens the local economy. One that upholds inclusive, socially responsible practices. And one that contributes to a strong local food system and a sustainable environment.
With an expiring lease that cannot be renewed, relocation is the only path forward for our cooperative. That’s why we need YOUR support.
It will take all of us coming together to make this project a reality, and we’ll need individuals to step up with $5,000, $10,000, $25,000 contributions, or more, to reach our goal of $2 million by December 31st. The clock is ticking. We’re not getting this time back. Let’s make it happen.
Whether you decide to INVEST and receive future dividends, or DONATE and receive a tax-deduction benefit, your support makes a difference.
Please note: As a for-profit cooperatively-owned business, Open Harvest is NOT an official part of Give To Lincoln Day and is not eligible for their donation matching program. If you or someone you know would like to create a donation matching program for our project, reach out to us!
