Land Acknowledgement
Our Cooperative community recognizes and acknowledges that the land Open Harvest occupies is the ancestral and contemporary territory of the Pâri (Pawnee), the Otoe-Missouria (Jiwere), and the Očhéthi Šakówiŋnations (Sioux) nations. We want to honor the resiliency of these tribal nations and recognize the historical contexts that have and continue to affect the Indigenous peoples of this land. This land is the traditional territory of these nations and it continues to carry their stories. We take on this tradition as a sign of respect for the indigenous peoples and their traditional territories.
