Important COVID-19 Notice #2
Today we learned that an employee at Open Harvest has tested positive for COVID-19. We were notified of a positive test this morning. In the past week, they worked Tuesday, March 23, Wednesday, March 24, and one hour on Thursday, March 25 and could potentially have been contagious during this period of time. Employees that the individual worked with were notified that they may have been exposed and should seek guidance from a medical professional. This is our second employee positive test result in the last week. We were very fortunate to go an entire year without a positive COVID-19 case amongst employees. Open Harvest remains committed to the safety of our staff and the community. Employee and customer safety is our highest priority as we continue to manage this public health crisis.
We continue to require shoppers and staff to adhere to the following precautions, to minimize the spread of the virus:
- properly wear masks or other facial coverings that comply with CDC guidelines.
- refrain from eating and drinking while in the store
- maintain six feet of social distance from others at all times
Shoppers can also help keep our staff members safe by self-assessing health before shopping and order curbside pick-up if you have any of the known symptoms of COVID-19.
