Phase III Owner Investment Campaign Update
WE HAVE GREAT NEWS! Owner investments and donations have exceeded $1.46 million in the bank! The final numbers are still pending as we wait for the outstanding pledged $131,000+ investments and donations to arrive by mail and hand delivery. While checks are coming in every day, our phase 3 is complete and we are officially done actively calling our co-op owners.
Over the course of the last 12 months, our dedicated volunteers played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our organization and generous supporters, enabling us to successfully reach our crucial fundraising goals. Their dedication and passion for our cause amplified our impact, transforming every call into an opportunity to create meaningful change in the world.
We called EVERY SINGLE owner with a working phone number!
Dozens of hours were spent in training, outreach at community events, and in-store tabling
This is clearly an amazing result, thank you so much for your participation! Our owner investors and donors are the best part of a fantastic story that is being shared with co-ops around the country.
Everyone who participated, including those who continue to shop and spread the word during our fundraising efforts, should feel a sense of accomplishment on behalf of our community, our local businesses, and in supporting better access to quality groceries, good jobs, and all of our cooperative values.
For those who would still like to contribute financially, anyone can still make a tax-deductible donation at any time through the Lincoln Community Foundation.
If you are still finalizing your investment, Mar our Campaign Coordinator, will be working hard to tie up loose ends in May, so reach out to mar@openharvest.coop for assistance.
Finally, during our May Owner Drive, any owner who chooses to pay their annual equity forward four years ($100), will receive a coupon for four Common Good Farm plants, which can be used to start your own garden or share with someone else in your community. Our goal is to encourage at least 100 owners to Pay it Forward in May!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this effort at every level! You are contributing to the overall health and well-being of the local food economy in Lincoln for years to come.
